source: google.com
Move to a cool place:
Get the person indoors or into deep shade.
Remove excess clothing:
Take off heavy jackets, shoes, and socks so air can reach their skin.
Water Cooling
Try cold-water immersion:
If safe and possible, submerge the person in a cool bath or shallow pool (keeping their head out of the water).
Wet and fan the body:
If a tub is not available, spray or sponge them with cool water and fan them vigorously.
Apply ice packs:
Place ice packs or cold, wet towels on their neck, armpits, and groin.
Offer fluids slowly:
If the person is fully awake and alert, give them small sips of cool water or an electrolyte drink. [1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6]
