Exercise : Dust Particle Types : New Mitigations

Situation
The recent emergency conditions connected to toxic sewage particles blowing long distance indicates the need for consist methods of particle pollution threat defense.

Particle Types
Dust particle types are classified by risk levels: L Class (low risk), M Class (medium risk), and H Class (high risk). They are also grouped by composition into organic, inorganic, and mineral varieties. [1, 2, 3]
Hazard Classifications (Industrial & Workplace)
L Class (Low Risk): Low toxicity with workplace limits greater than 1 mg/m³. Examples include softwoods, household dust, gypsum, plaster, and soil [0.6.4, 0.6.2, 0.6.4]. [1, 2, 3]
M Class (Medium Risk): Moderate toxicity with limits ≥ 0.1 mg/m³. Examples include hardwood dust (oak, beech), MDF, concrete, brick, tile adhesive, and silica/quartz. [1]
H Class (High Risk): High toxicity/carcinogenic [0.6.1, 0.6.2] with limits under 0.1 mg/m³. Examples include asbestos, mold spores, artificial mineral fibers (glass wool), and lead [0.6.1, 0.6.2, 0.6.4]. [1, 2, 3]
Organic Dust:
Plant or animal-derived particles like pollen, flour, wood dust, cotton, and fungal spores.
Inorganic/Mineral Dust:
Ground rock, metal, or chemical particles like crystalline silica, coal, cement, nickel, and lead.
Inhalable Fraction:
Larger particles (10 µm to 100 µm) trapped in the nose, mouth, or upper respiratory tract.
Respirable Fraction:
Tiny particles (<10 µm) that penetrate deep into the lower lungs and alveoli. [1, 2, 3, 4]

Advanced Equipment
Fog Cannons (Mist Cannons): Project fine micro-droplets over long ranges via high-pressure fans to bind directly with airborne respirable particles. [1]
Hydrodynamic Filters: Mix contaminated air with swirling water inside a vortex chamber, trapping dust in a bottom tank without needing replacement filters. [1, 2]
Cyclone Pre-Separators: Spin heavy debris out of the air stream to lighten the load on primary industrial vacuums. [1]
Modern Suppression Methods
Eco-Friendly Additives: Biodegradable liquid formulas applied via Air Spectrum systems that bind soil particles longer than plain water.
Polymer Emulsions: Spray liquid polymers onto unpaved ground to form a tough, dust-locking surface film. [1, 2, 3]
